OUR PURPOSE

What Motivates Us

These dogs and puppies are our passion. Like previously said, WE LOVE THIS BREED and we want to do whatever we can to provide quality puppies to their new families. This is why we follow the Golden Retriever Club of America (GRCA) Code of Contact.

We are very particular about the dogs we breed together. All dogs being bred have to complete all health testing prior to being bred. In addition to health testing, temperament and drive is also considered when choosing a dam and sire to mate. We particularly strive for a puppy that is going to be both good in the obedience ring as well as in the field (and awesome family dog of course.)

I do follow "Puppy Culture" so we  work on a Early Neurological Stimulation and Early Scent Introduction from days 3-16 of their life. In the remainder of the weeks that they are here we work heavily on socialization including startle reflexes (vacuuming, dropping of pots/pans, thunderstorm sounds, etc.) and sensory activities. I have 3 young children so they see a lot of handling and exposure even at a young age. We do start crate training and a potty training at about 5-6 weeks of age. My hopes with all of this is to set the puppies and their families up for success.

The puppies are sold on a limited AKC registration which I do pay for myself and a 26 month health guarantee. In addition, deworming is completed, first set of vaccinations are completed and they are microchipped and listed in the AKC Reunite system.

All puppies are sent home with a Windcliff Goldens bag that includes:

  • Folder with registration, vet certification and vaccinations, AKC Reunite info, and a copy of the signed contract.

  • Fabric with mother's scent

  • Toy

  • Bandana

  • A quart sized bag of puppy food to get started.
